The first three episodes of “History as an excuse” a podcast presented by Paula Giménez, produced by Anfibia Podcast and Tilde Editora with the support of the Making Histories project are already available in english.

Members of the Making Histories project of the University of Deusto, together with Sin tarima Libros and Los libros de la Catarata, will be presenting the editorial collection on “Memory and history of the conflict and violence in Euskadi”

ICMEMOHR, together with the General Directorate of Historical Memory of the Ministry of the Presidency, have organized a conference in Madrid on European Democratic Memory. For several days and in various cities and Memory spaces, conferences, round tables and visits to museums and memorials have been organized.

On August 31, 2023, Elena Pol and Mikel Asensio presented the Making Histories project to their colleagues at the Center for Restorative History at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History.

On Monday, August 26th 2024 from 2 to 4 pm, Mario Carretero will give a Master Lecture invited by the University of Salta, in Hybrid Mode. “HISTORICALLY: TEACHING HISTORY IN A POLARIZED WORLD”.

On July 20, 1974 Turkey invaded part of the island of Cyprus starting a civil war that is still going on today. This July 20, Cypriots commemorate and honor the more than 5000 dead and the division and loss of territories.

Makinghistories and FLACSO Argentina invite you to the opening webinar of the next seminar. The meeting entitled “Beyond the epic: Dialogues to understand (before judging) the past”, is the initial activity of the seminar “Teaching history in the digital era”.
