During our first meeting, Mario Carretero (UAM, FLACSO) gave a talk regarding the common practice of doing historical reenactments at schools in Argentina during national holidays. In his presentation, he discussed the history of this practice, as well as the advantages it has for teachers and families, and the ways in which it can or can’t be considered history education.
